Do not use chemicals for plastering the idol of Shri Vitthal in Pandharpur as it is against scriptures ! – Abhay Kulathe, Founder of Radhakrushna Goshala

Solapur : The idol of Shri Vitthal in Pandharpur is going to be plastered with chemicals once again to control its wearing out. Since the temple and the rituals conducted there are related to Dharma, hence every ritual performed there should be based on scriptures. What should be done in case of wearing away of the idol in a temple, also should be decided according to scriptures. Despite disregarding the scriptures the plastering done earlier had not been successful. The wearing still continues. The plastering done on the idol of Shri Mahalaxmi in Kolhapur has been unsuccessful. Within a year the plaster on the idol is coming out, white patches have appeared on it. While doing this plastering a serpent on the idol has been wiped away. Who will guarantee that this will not recur in case of Shri Vitthal’s idol. Therefore taking scriptures into consideration and taking guidance from those who are well versed in the field of Dharma appropriate decision must be taken. Do not plaster Shri Vitthal’s idol, demanded Shri. Abhay Kulathe, Founder of Radhakrushna Goshala in the National Hindu Movement held at the main gate of Jillha Parishad. Many Hindu organisations had participated in this movement along with HJS.

Representation was given to Deputy District Collector, Shri. Sunil Thorve demanding to stop malpractices at public places like tourist spots, forts etc. in the name of celebrating the New Year on the night of 31st December and to take action on those connected with them. There were some other representations also given to him at this time.

Shri. Yatiraj Honmane, District coordinator of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad made a demand asking for not taking back the crimes on anti-nationals, pelting stones on the army.
