Mulki (Karnataka): HJS held  meeting of devout Hindus at the Billava Samaj Seva Sangha on the 21st of November  2011 in Mulki to plan for the forthcoming ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’. More than 25 devout Hindus including RSS and Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists and other prominent persons from Mulki were present during the meeting. Mr. Ramesh Nayak, HJS Convener, Dakshin Kannada, Mr. Ravindra Kamath, HJS Convener, Udupi and Mrs. Sangeeta Prabhu were present.

After invocation and prayers, Mr. Ramesh Nayak briefed about the activities of the Samiti and also about the recent efforts of the Samiti in organizing the temple trustees to fight unitedly against the Government orders to demolish places of worship marked as unauthorized.

A video presentation of the present condition of Hindu Dharma and the Nation and the CDs regarding Dharma sabha were shown on the projector. Mr. Ravindra Kamath briefed on the continuous onslaught on Dharma on the need for educating Hindus about Hindutva and unifying them. He added that HJS is holding hundreds of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas all over the country and abroad and one such sabha is going to be held in Mulki in the future.

The devout Hindus who were very much enthused referred the names of many villages and also offered to sponsor 5000 hand bills, 500 Posters and 20 Flex to enable the message of the Sabha reach out to the masses.

Mr. Mallikarjun Bamareddy compeered the program and was concluded with chanting of Shlokas and offering of Gratitude.

Highlights:

  1. Files showing the activities of HJS were kept for display and information of the devout Hindus.
  2. Signatures were collected against the Government’s order to demolish unauthorized places of worship and to take over Hindu Temples.
  3. Most of the devout Hindus were present from the commencement of the meeting to the end .
  4. Some of the VIPs who had come for the meet volunteered to join in the campaign for the Sabha and also volunteered to find more sponsors. One devout Hindu volunteered to raise funds for the Sabha and requested for the donation receipt books.
  5. Some of the organisations requested HJS members to hold more such meeting even at the village level and offered full support for the same.
  6. Mr. Achyuth , a teacher who was very impressed with HJS activities, offered to take Dharma Shikshan classes.
  7. The devout Hindus volunteered to decorate the town and also put up posters and flex in the town of Mulki.
  8. The management committee of the Billava Samaj Seva Sangha offered the premises free of cost.
