Congress Govt.’s Savarkar- hatred exhibited once again !

New Delhi: Tourist guide booklet published by the Government for attracting more tourists to Andaman and Nicobar has excluded the name of Swatantryaveer Savarkar although the place has become famous after Savarkar was kept in imprisonment here. His name has been excluded even from the pamphlet published on tourism. The above fact was accepted in writing by the Government in the Parliament. (Earlier the then Congress minister Manishankar Aiyyar had erased few verses written by Savarkar on a pillar in Andaman, known as ‘Kranti-stambh’. Today, the Congress Government has deleted Veer Savarkar’s photo and name from the tourists’ guide. In this manner, Congress will slowly wipe out the history of this bright freedom fighter. Only in India, there are ungrateful rulers who hate its own freedom fighters. When are the Indians going to undertake the righteous job of overthrowing such rulers ? – Editor SP)

BJP has expressed extreme anger over the issue. No work has been done for the past ten days in the Parliament’s session over the issue of ‘2-G Spectrum’ and today was no exception; but before adjourning today’s work, the Vice Chairman of the Upper House of Parliament, Rahimat Khan hurriedly presented reports of few committees, questions-answers, statements from ministers etc. in the ongoing chaos; during which the issue of Savarkar also came up. BJP members were expressing their reaction that the said incident showed Congress’ allergy towards Savarkar. (All patriotic Indians expect that BJP would not just stop at giving only reactions but would pursue the matter till Savarkar’s name is re-included in the tourist guide booklet and pamphlet ! –Editor SP)

Mr. Anil Dave, a BJP MP raised a query about exclusion of Veer Savarkar’s name when the Central Tourism Minister for State, Sultan Ahmad accepted that Veer Savarkar’s name was removed. Dave expressed his deep anger over the same. Later talking to the journalists, he said, “I had gone to Andaman on 10th May. I noticed that Veer Savarkar’s name and photo had been removed from the guide. Even in the ‘Sound and light’ program, the name of the jailor is taken more number of times and Savarkar’s name is heard only few times that too not very clearly. I asked about it to the local Administration but did not get satisfactory answer from them; therefore, I raised a query in the Parliament. Removal of Veer Savarkar’s name and photograph has now been admitted by the Government.”
