Dicholi (Goa): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has organised a ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ in order to protect the temples, to unite the trustees of the temples in Goa and to unite the Hindus by creating pride for Hindu Dharma in them, at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Stadium, Dicholi, Goa on 1st of December 2010, at 5pm. Mr. Niranjan Chodankar, co-ordinator of HJS, Goa State gave this information in a press conference here. Mr. Ramesh Naik, officiating Goa Rajya Pramukh, Shivsena and Mr. Rajesh Korgaokar were present at the conference.

Mr. Vinay Panvalkar, spokesperson  of the Samiti, Mr. Abhay Vartak, Sanatan Sanstha, H.B.P. Ramkrushnabuva Garde and Mr. Ramesh Naik, officiating Goa Rajya Pramukh, Shivsena are going to address the Sabha. HJS has organised about 700 Dharamjagruti Sabhas so far all over Bharat and abroad and has successfully kindled pride for Hindu Dharma in more than 8 lakh Hindus. 15 thousand people have been made aware of the subject to be discussed in the Sabha by organising about 60 meetings at various places surrounding Dicholi.

Mr. Chodankar seemed fully confident about the success of the Sabha by looking at the tremendous response given spontaneously by the people. He said further, “At present our country and our Dharma are facing dangers like, jihadi terrorism, conversions, blind acceptance of foreign culture, rampant instances of destruction of Hindu idols, increasing thefts in the temples, distortion of Bharat’s history and Hindus by way of Text Books published by the N.C.E.R.T. The Government has declared a list of unauthorised temples in which a place having Swayambhu Ling, ancient temples have also  been included which is a grave attack on the faith of proud Hindus. Hence it becomes the priority of each Hindu to protect the temples under these circumstances. HJS has started a movement at the State level for the protection of temples. As a part of the movement, the Samiti organises meetings at various places in Goa, contacts the trustees of the temples, gives memorandums to the Government, organises public Dharmajagruti Sabhas, etc. The Samiti invites all Hindus to attend the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha in order to unite and to protect the temples , it also invites the trustees of the temples which are included or not included in the government’s new list of unauthorised temples, so also the devotees in Dicholi.”

Mr. Ramesh Naik said in his address, “There are 122 Christian, 68 Muslim, 8 Buddhist countries in the whole world; but there is no country of Hindus. If Hindus remain inactive then they will be destroyed. That is why it is very essential for Hindus to unite. Shivsena is fully supporting the mission of the Samiti.”
