Sangli : An application was made in the city police station on behalf of HJS to hold an agitation on 24th January against the screening of Padmaavat as it distorts history; but giving the reason of the order of not to assemble in public places and law and order situation, police denied the permission to the Samiti. Police has also given a letter to Shri. Santosh Desai of HJS mentioning the same reason. (Agitation opposing the film is carried out in the nation and one such agitation was held in Kolhapur on 23rd January in peaceful and constitutional manner. Despite this to oppose the agitation amounts to suppression of Hindus by police. Wheever law and order situation is in crisis, police never do anything; but oppose HJS which holds agitation in the peaceful and constitutional, under the name of law ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
The letter signed by the police inspector states that the Censor Board and the Government have give permission to screen the film Padmaavat. HJS needs to get their demands sanctioned constitutionally. (HJS always holds agitation in legal and constitutional way ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) We have received confidential information that law and order situation may arise because of HJS agitation. (So many agitations are held by HJS so far, but law and order situation has not detoriated not even once. Hence pro-Hindus feel that despite this fact police giving such information could be a plan to defame HJS. Police intelligence department does not get the information about the destruction caused in Sangli due Bhima-Koregaon issue by miscreants and their organisations; but how do the police get such information about HJS, which is working for welfare of nation and Dharma ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) As we are helpless, we deny permission to the Samiti’s agitation.
Double standards of Sangli police !
Despite 37 (1) section being applied in the district, pro-Hindu organisations had opposed the rally supporting the cruel Tipu Sultan, organised on behalf of fanatic organisations in Ishwarpur (District Sangli) on 16th November 2017, yet police gave fanatics permission. As against this, despite always holding agitations in legal way, HJS was denied permission, for which Hindus are surprised at this gesture of police.
Shri. Vishalsingh Rajput, Miraj Taluka president of Rajput Sanghatana and Shivsena Miraj City Chief has been served a notice from Gandhi Chowk Police Station stating that he will be charged with criminal offence if agitation was held.
