Ravanda (Dist. Nagar, Maharashtra) : Brave ‘Dharmaveer’ Sambhaji Maharaj told Aurangzeb “I will die as a Hindu but will not convert to Islam”; he did not bow before the oppression or change his religion. We are Hindus brought up in the same soil; but we have forgotten history and therefore, importance of Hindu Dharma is required to be told to us once again.

The Government wants to pass Act to take over management of temples to attack Hindu Dharma. If such Act is passed, soon we will see bearded ‘lungi’ clad priests in temples. Remember that the whole world and Universe is extsting on the principles advocated in Hindu Dharma and whole-heartedly join the activities of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). The above appeal was made by H. B. P. Parashuram Anarthe Maharaj, the chief guest of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held at Ravanda in Kopargaon Taluka, Dist. Nagar on 27th November by HJS.

The ‘sabha’ was attended by about 600 devout Hindus. Mr. Ashok Sarangdhar of Sanatan Sanstha and Professor Dnyaneshwar Bhagur of HJS were the other dignitaries sharing the dais with H. B. P. Anarthe Maharaj. Mr. Sarangdhar explained to the members of audience in detail, how Hindu Saints, religious leaders and Hindu organizations are being harassed in this country. Professor Mr. Dnyaneshwar Bhagur of HJS spoke about corruption, mismanagement of temples by the Government etc.
