Dicholi (Goa): Following the disgraceful chain of events involving damaging of idols, now the incidents of temple robberies are on rise in Goa. The Congress Government and police, who failed in controlling the events of idol-breaking, have not been able to stop even temple robberies; therefore, temples are being robbed even during day time. As if these attacks on Hindu Dharma were not enough, the Congress Government in Goa is hatching a plot of demolishing temples and ‘ghumatis’ in Goa by terming them as unauthorized, citing the verdict of the Supreme Court. This is an attempt of the State Government to rub salt on the wounds of Hindus. In this background, devout Hindus attending the Dharmajagruti Sabha at Dicholi made a resolve to unite for protection of temples and ‘ghumatis’. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized the ‘sabha’ on Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj grounds. It was resolved to make various demands with the Government for protection of temples and ‘ghumatis’ amidst acclamation of ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
