‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ at Colaba, Mumbai

Elimination of unrighteousness is the true ‘Dharma’ ! – Prem Shukla

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : Presently, those, who talk about Hinduism, are questioned; nobody comes to the rescue of Hinduttva and Hindus when they are under attack. Like Bhagawan Sri Krushna eliminated the unrighteous by following diplomacy; similarly, Hindus should teach a lesson to secular Congress Government using subtlety. Elimination of unrighteousness is the true Dharma. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) forced M F Husain to leave the country for his indecent paintings of Hindu Deities. Now everyone should take the responsibility of dragging Husain to India who is presently in Qatar. The above fiery views were expressed by Mr. Prem Shukla, the executive Editor of daily newspaper ‘Dopahar ka Saamna’.

He addressed the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha organized by HJS on 5th December at the Municipal School in Colaba. The other dignitaries addressing the gathering were Mrs. Nayana Bhagat of Sanatan Sanstha and Dr. Uday Dhuri of HJS. About 250 devout Hindus attended the ‘sabha’. The ‘sabha’ began with blowing of conch and lighting of lamp by Mr. Prem Shukla. This followed with recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’. Mr. Narendra Surve presented an account of activities undertaken by HJS in India and abroad.

A follow-up meeting to unite Hindus has been organized on Thursday, 9th December at 7.00 p.m. at Raigad Galli, Pestonji Marg, Colaba. This ‘Dharma-sabha’ was also attended by Mr. Girish Shah, Trustee of Jain Temples, Mr. Ramesh Gaikwad, the Editor of a periodical titled ‘Dharmapalan’, Mr. Vijay Surve, South Mumbai Deputy-chief of Shiv Sena and Mr. Jayawant Pagdhare, the ‘Shakha-pramukh’ of Colaba Shakha No. 226 of Shiv Sena etc.

• Many members of audience met the speakers after the ‘sabha’ and expressed interest in taking part in Dharmakarya.
• Three blind young men attended the ‘sabha’ till the end.

Special cooperation

• Mr. Santosh Veer, the Shakha-pramukh of Shiv Sena for Shakha No. 225 offered place at his ‘shakha’ for the propagation of ‘Dharmasabha’ and made available banners of his ‘shakha’ for free.
• Mr. Gajanan Shinde of Colaba Ganeshotsav Committee made available food for all HJS members who had come for various tasks related to ‘Dharma sabha’.
