Mumbai : On 4th March (Phalgun Krushna Paksha Trutiya) on the occasion of Shivjayanti, admirers of the founder of Hindavi Swarajya Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Shivapremi) offered a salute to Him going to Shivtirth. Under the leadership of Shri Shivpratishthan Hindustan, Shivajayanti was celebrated in a novel way, collectively like ‘One Mumbai – one Shivajyot’. Shivapremi worshipped the Shivajyot that was brought from the Shivrai’s birth place, fort ‘Shivneri’ at Shivtirth. Shivapremi of various organisations and mandals acclaimed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj while celebrating His Jayanti very enthusiastically. Shivajyot was brought by Dharkaris running from the fort Shivneri to Shivtirth in one day. Chief of Shivsena’s branch, Dharkari of Shri Shivpratishthan Hindustan, Shri. Neeraj Bhosle offered worship to the Shivjyot and Saffron Flag. Coordinator of HJS, Mumbai offered a garland to the Flag. Shivapremi ladies and gents had participated in this programme attired in traditional dresses.
HJS participated in Shivajayanti programme at 23 places in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad
Volunteers of HJS participated in Shivajayanti programmes at 13 places in Mumbai, 5 each in Thane and Raigad. At some places the volunteers of HJS asked the shivapremi gatherd there to become active for the mission of establishment of Hindu Rashtra. Exhibition giving information about revolutionaries was put up at some places. Signature campaign was carried out at 7 villages in Raigad District.
Obeisance was paid to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by HJS in Satara
Satara : On the occasion of Shivjayanti, HJS offered ritualistic worship to Shivrai’s statue at Powainaka at Shivtirth in Satara. HJS activists also cleaned the premises of Shivatirth on that occasion. All recited the ‘Dhyeymantra’ and prayed for establishment of Hindu Rashtra.
Shivjayanti was celebrated in Pune, Kalyan, Nashik, Sambhajnagar districts. In Kalyan on behalf of branches of Shivsena in the city, about 50 Chitrarath along with traditional Dhol- tasha had participated. In Nashik, grand procession was organised by Hindu Ekata Andolan Party and other organisation. Messages like, ‘Importance of celebrating Shivjayanti as per date in Lunar calendar (Tithi) and why it should be celebrated on tithi’, were sent on a large number from social media. Even in Sambhajinagar a grand procession of Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj was held.
‘One village, one Shivjayanti utsav’ of Shri Kalbhiravnath Utsav Samiti in Pimpri
Pimpri : ‘One village, one Shivjayanti utsav’ was held in Chinchwad on behalf Shri Kalbhiravnath Utsav Samiti. 25th February to 3rd March, ‘Shiv Vyakhyanmala’ (Lecture series based on Chhatrapti Shivaji Maharaj) was held. Grand procession with Shivchhatrapati’s palanquin, 14ft. High idol of Shivrai sitting on throne, traditional musical instruments, manly sports, horses, warkari pathaks, bullock carts, Palanquin, dhol – tasha etc. was a great attrction. Heirs of the then Mavlas and sardars had participated in the procession.
Various Hindu and Shivapremi organisations celebrated Shivjayanti in the city and around as per the tithi. Traditional processions were held acclaiming Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The Jayanti was celebrated at Shivneri too with great enthusiasm. A procession carrying the picture of Shivrai in silver Shivpalanquin was held. It commenced from Shri Shivai Mandir to Shivaji Maharaja’s birth place. They were carrying mashals, saffron flags and singing ‘Powadas’, as a result, the whole atmosphere had turned saffron.
Garland offered by Uddhav Thakre to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mumbai
A big replica of Raigad fort was made at the Mumbai airport. Here Shri. Uddhav Thackeray, Shivsena’s president, offered a garland to the statue of Chhatrapti Shivrai.
