Masikodai festival of Mandaikadu Bhagawathi Amman temple, is temple utsav conducted for 10 days at Nagercoil. Haindava Seva Sangam had organised ‘Hindu Religious Meet’ in which programs were conducted from morning 6 to midnight daily for 10 days. In that HJS got an opportunity to participate for the first time due to the efforts of Shri. G. Radhakrishnan, President of Shivsena, Tamilnadu.
H. H. (Sou.) Uma Ravichandran and Shri. Kashinath Shetty of HJS participated in this program from 9.3.2018 to 12.3.2018. Flex on dharma sikshan, Hindu Rashtra were exhibited in the venue. A stall of Sanatan tamil granths was also put for the 4 days.
On 12.3.2018, H. H. (Sou.) Uma Ravichandran of HJS spoke about the importance of sadhana, need of Hindu Unity and about the establishment of Hindu Rashtra. Shri. Radhakrishnan, President of Shivsena, Tamilnadu spoke about Swami Vivekananda and Hindu dharma. Loudspeakers were kept on all the surrounding streets so that thousands of devotees who visit the temple can hear.
Highlights
- The organising committee members and President were pleased with HJS participation. They assured to give a prime slot during next year.
- Some of the Police personnel who were present there on duty were interested in knowing about spiritual practice and they bought some Sanatan tamil books.
- During the interval time between two programs titbits of spiritual information like achar dharma, satwik food, satwik dress, satwik hair dress was told on mike. This made many people to get interested in seeing the flex and to visit the stall.
- Shri. Radhakrishnan introduced some Hindutwawadis from Shivsena, Kerala, Hindu Munnani and Seva Bharathi.
- Shri. Mahadevan of Kanyakumari, who was declared 61% during adiveshan about 4 years back, was one of the organising committee members. He took care and made all arrangements for HJS activists.
