February 24, 2011

Magh Krushna Saptami, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

Mumbai, 23rd February – The incident that shows path to millions of Hindus and lights a spark among them of love and respect towards Nation and Dharma, is the scene wherein Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has slain Afzal Khan ! The Government should bring out a coin depicting this scene, is the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a letter written to the Secretary of the Central Finance Department. (Only an organization like HJS, which is always working in the interest of the Nation and Hindus, can make such demand. Will other pro-Hindu organizations also become active in this context? – Editor SP)

It has been mentioned in the said letter that the Government had earlier brought out a coin with the picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj; but the scene of Afzal Khan’s slaying is inspiring for all Indians as it teaches how to eliminate terrorism. It shows how Indians should behave with the terrorists coming from outside countries to attack India. Also, the incident has completed 351 years recently. On this occasion, the Government should mint a coin in remembrance of glorifying history of India and appreciate the sentiments of Hindus. A copy of this letter has been sent to the Prime Minister’s Office also. The letter has been signed by Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the district coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts. Detailed history of Afzal Khan’s slaying and picture has been enclosed with this letter.

Hindus do not hear the attacks on Dharma due to their indifference ! – H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj

Inauguration of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha by lighting a Samai (an oil lamp)

Inauguration of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha by lighting a Samai (an oil lamp)

Panvel (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been creating awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma which is a great task. A Hindu has, however, become inactive; is sleeping. When one goes to bed, his body becomes lethargic and does not work; therefore, he is unable to hear what is going on around him even if the enemy’s attacks on Dharma have gone up. It is, therefore, necessary to create awareness towards Dharma. Those who are sleeping should be shaken up. The above frank views were expressed by H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj, the President of ‘Shadvikar Nirmulan Dindi’. HJS had organized ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ to commemorate 351st anniversary of the incident in which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had slain Afzal khan to eliminate terrorism. The ‘sabha’ was held on the grounds of H. B. P. Damaji Ganapat Vidyalaya. H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj addressed this ‘sabha’. The other dignitaries present on the stage were Mr. Ashok Gilda, the trustee of Sri Balaji Mandir, Panvel, Mrs. Nandini Surve of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS who also addressed the ‘sabha’ and kindled a spark of Hinduism among the members of audience through their speeches.

The ‘sabha’ began with lighting of lamp. Mr. Sachin Salunkhe of dainik ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ expressed his views. Mr. Anand Mhetre of HJS presented a review of their activities. H. B. P. Ganesh Maharaj made an appeal that every pro-Hindu organization should take part in HJS activities and extend all help for the ‘Dharmakarya’ performing their duty towards Dharma. Mr. Gilda said, “The Government is taking over the temples and there is lot of corruption in their management. Those who tolerate injustice are more guilty than those who are involved in injustice. If out of 100 crores of people, only half i.e. 50 crores of people donate just Rs.1/- per day, Rs. 50 crores can be collected and which can be used for ‘Dharmakarya.’ Hindus should donate liberally for the cause advocated by HJS.”

Mr. Prasad Vadake said, “Hindu Dharma teaches how terrorism is to be eliminated. Sriram slew Ravana, Srikrushna slew ‘Kansa’ and Nrusimha killed Hiranyakashyapu to eliminate terrorism. The incarnation of ‘Nrusimha’ in Kali-yuga’ is Chhatrapati Shivaraya. He too showed how to end terrorism by slaying Afzal Khan.”

Mrs. Nandini Surve of Sanatan Sanstha said, “Congressmen and leftists are always engaged in appeasing Muslims to get their sympathies, protecting their religious sentiments with the selfish motive of strengthening their political careers; whereas they accuse Hindus of being terrorists and follow the only program of elimination of Hindus. All mass media also support the Congress and Leftists.”

The ‘sabha’ ended with adopting various resolutions for the welfare of Hinduttva and singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. The ‘sabha’ was compeered by Mr. Balawant Pathak and it was attended by about 250 devout Hindus.

Mumbai : Margasheersha Shukla 7 was the day on which Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had slain malicious Afzal Khan. This year on 12th December, the incident completed 350 years. To commend this extraordinary bravery, HJS had organized programs at various places in Mumbai and Thane like Mulund (East)- near railway station, Bhandup (West) at Library for senior citizens, Sunil Gavaskar Ground at Belapur (Sector-8), Dadar (East) near ‘Kailas Lassi’ shop, ‘Malpa Dongri’ area in Andheri (East) and ‘Kshetrapal Mahadev Temple’ Hall, Vasai (W). People were enlightened on the issues and signature drive was also undertaken. About 100 members of HJS took part in the programs held at 6 places in Mumbai. Many citizens extended good response. A demand was made to the Government to come out with a postal stamp and coin with picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for which a representation has been prepared by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

This representation was signed by 1400 patriotic citizens. A copy of the representation will be sent to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. Members of HJS, Shri. Abhay Jagatap of Bajarang Dal and Shri. Yogesh Ilawadekar of Hindu Mahasabha explained to the people the importance of ‘Shiva-pratap Din’.

The Congress Government has minted a coin of a so-called Christian Saint Alphonso of the denomination Rs. 5/- rather than our Saints; but it has not ever thought of bringing out coins with pictures of Shivaji Maharaj and some great national heroes. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj exhibited to the whole world, how terrorism is to be wiped out. The Government should at least remember that valour and pay due respect to Chhatrapati Shivaraya, is the demand of HJS.

Jalgaon: HJS celebrates Shiv Pratap Din, demands Shivaji Maharaj coin

December 13, 2010

Govt. should publish postal stamp and coin with picture of Shivaraya on the occasion of ‘Shiva-Pratap Din’ ! – H. B. P. Gajanan Maharaj Varsodkar

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): The Government should publish postal stamp and a coin with picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who exhibited gallantry by slaying Afzal Khan. The above appeal was made by H. B. P. Gajanan Varsodkar Maharaj in a program organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to commemorate the above incident. The most superhuman bravery, during the regime of Chhatrapati Shivaraya establishing ‘swaraj’, was slaying of Afzal Khan. On 12th December 2010, the incident completed 351 years; therefore, HJS organized the program on ‘Shivateertha’ at 11.00 a.m. Saint H. B. P. Gajanan Maharaj Rajput from Varsade, taluka Pachora, Mr. Rajumama Bhole, opposition leader of BJP in municipal corporation, Mr. Mohan Tiwari of Shiv Sena, Miss Pratiksha Korgaonkar of HJS, Mr. Chetan Shirsale, municipal councilor etc. were also present.

On one hand, talk about secularism and on the other, oppress only Hindus, is the policy of the Government. Hindus should realize this double standard used by the Government and fight against it, appealed Mr. Rajumama Bhole. Miss Pratiksha Korgaonkar of HJS said that Shivaraya showed to the whole world how to eliminate terrorism by eliminating Afzal Khan who, as a matter fact, had come to Maharashtra with his full force to finish Shivaraya and the people of Maharashtra. The program ended with singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
