Pandharpur : Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s birthday celebrations were held on 7th May. On the occasion of His birthday, Sanatan Sanstha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, other pro-Hindus and devotees offered prayers on 10th May at Namdev Payari in Vitthal-Rukhmini temple at 6.30 p.m. Volunteers were given permission to take darshan of Shri Vittal by the officers of the temple committee when they were informed about the significance of the prayer.
Volunteers offered a garland to the idol of Shri Vitthal and offered a prayer for Hindu Rashtra. Change was experienced in the atmosphere at this time, some experienced unusual fragrance in the temple. Devotees experienced that the prayer for Paratpar Guru (Dr.) Athavale’s long life had really reached Shri Vitthal.
Many dignitaries representing various Hindu organisations and devotees were present in the temple on this occasion.
