First time police take such action against denigration of Deities
Mumbai: In the warehouse of ‘Bhandari & Company’, there were sacks filled with rice grains which had pictures of Deities like Bhagavan Srikrushna and Radha, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, ‘Ashok-chakra’, national tri-colour, ‘saffron flag’ etc. The local Hindus were enraged as a word spread about the same. Few Hindus informed the police claiming that it hurt religious sentiments of Hindus as the sacks are thrown on the road after emptying and are trampled by passersby. As a result, police staff from Nizampura police station raided the warehouse and confiscated all such sacks. Kishore Bhandari, the owner along with Pandurang Kadam, the manager, was taken into custody. (Congratulations to police from Nizampura police station for taking such prompt action! If police from every police station follow the footsteps of Nizampura police, Hindus will not have to take to the roads to protect their places/ objects of worship ! – Editor SP)
A case has also been filed against ‘Paras Rice Mill’ from Hamidpur, Delhi, ‘Shanti Industries’ and ‘Supersena Rice Mill’ from Ibrahimpur, Karnataka.
