Impressed by HJS exhibits put up on RSS organized Samaajotsav in Bengaluru, RSS managed school’s teacher invites HJS to hold exhibition in school premise on the annual day!

Spontaneous response to HJS awareness campaign about Jan 1st celebrations during Rashtrottahan Parishath Vidya Kendra annual day function

Bengaluru (Karnataka) : The Rashtrothan Parishath Vidya Kendra, Hegde Nagar, Bengaluru – one of the premier schools promoted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organized its annual day on the 23rd of December 2010 at the school premises. Mr. Vasanth Kumar, teacher from the school, who was in charge of the organizing of stalls was very impressed by the  contents in the Hindu Chetana Panchang and the Flex exhibited by the HJS during the Hindu Samajotsav organized by the RSS in Halasuru, Bangalore  on the 19th of December 2010. He had invited HJS to organize a stall in the school premises on the annual day of the school.

On this occasion the Samiti held a stall for distribution of Hand bills related to importance of celebrating New Year on Ugadi and the ills of doing the same on Jan 1st. A flex of size 8 x 6 feet regarding the ills of celebrating New Year on Jan 1st was displayed at prominent place and attracted the attention of the parents and students alike. The Samiti also displayed and sold the Hindu Chetana Panchang, Sanatan Note Books and Holy Texts published by the Sanatan Sanstha and other organisations. The response from the parents, students and teachers was very spontaneous and they collected the hand bills, bought the Hindu Chetana Panchang and the Holy Texts showing great curiosity.  Later the teaching staff also invited the members of the Samiti to the school for discussions, to hold special lectures on the eves of festivals and days of National importance.

Special Feature:

1.    Most schools give importance to entertainment alone n the annual school day. But this school had given much importance to spiritual matters. This was obvious from the special arrangements made for Spiritual organizations like ISKCON, Patanjali Yog Peeth, Haridas Sahitya etc. and the HJ Samiti to hold exhibition of their Holy Texts etc. A special pandal had been erected for this purpose.
2.     Mr. Vasanth Kumar visited the stall personally to enquire as to whether there was an adequate response and also invited the members to come and hold a similar exhibition on the next year’s annual day.
