Earlier, only Indian Marriage Act was applicable to marriages of Indian citizens. Later, Special Marriage Act was passed for inter-religious marriages. This Act is dangerous and helps jihadis to marry Hindus consequently, resulting in encouraging love jihad; therefore, there is need to create awareness against this Act for its cancellation.
Advocate Motisingh Rajpurohit said,
1. Love jihad is going on since historical period; right from the period of Mohammad Bin Kasim.
2. After 1992, Twenty two thousand madrassas have been built on the borders of States like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal etc. These are becoming big centres of conversion of people and there is need to take action against them.
