Satara: A few Muslim youths have installed an idol of Lord Mhasoba, a deity worshipped by Hindus in the central vegetable market to maintain cleanliness in the surrounding area. Hindu people are therefore, angry with Muslims making use of Hindu deity for maintaining hygiene of the place.
At one place in the vegetable market, some of the vendors used to throw garbage and make the whole area dirty causing inconvenience to people. As a preventive measure, therefore, some Muslim youths installed an idol of Lord Mhasoba worshipped by Hindus and asked a women working nearby to keep an eye on the place. After a few days, staunch Hindus came to know about the incident and they met the Muslim youths and the lady in this connection. The staunch Hindus have now decided to legally take up the issue.
