HJS appeal to Hindus for unity through ‘Makar Sankranti’ programs

Mumbai: ‘Makarsankranti’ is the day to move towards light from dark. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has organized various get-togethers, lectures and other programs on the occasion of ‘Makarsankranti’ in different parts of Mumbai.

In the drive undertaken by HJS, there will be distribution of ‘tilgul’ with exchange of best wishes. An appeal will be made to people to unite against corruption, inflation, conversion, blind following of western culture, denigration of Hindu Deities, attacks on Hindu temples etc. It is necessary to preserve our culture and follow ‘Dharmacharan’. Such drive was undertaken today between 5.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. at Ashok Kedar Chowk, Bhandup (W), Mulund Railway Station, Mulund (East), Ganesh Maidan, Malpadongri, Andheri (E), Anandnagar, Vasai (W) etc. In the coming week too HJS will be holding lectures and arrange gatherings to create awareness among people towards Dharma and culture.
