Ponda (Goa): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has organised a public ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ on 26th January at 5 p.m. at Vaishya Samaj Maidan, near CMM Company, Betoda road, Ponda in order to save temples, to stop the attacks on Dharma and to awaken pride for Hinduism amongst Hindus. HJS’ Goa state covnener Mr. Niranjan Chodankar gave this information in a press conference held here today. Gomantak Mandir and Dhaarmik Sanstha Mahasangh Goa state convener and publicity sevak Mr. Jayesh Thali and Mr. Sangam Borkar were present at this occasion.
Mr. Niranjan Chodankar said that today the Nation and Hindu Dharma have been engulfed by various problems such as terrorism, conversion of faith, blind emulation of the western culture, desecration of idols and thefts in temples (of Hindu deities ), National Council for Educational Research and Training’s (N.C.E.R.T.) syllabus that dupes Hindus and the entire nation by presenting distorted history, etc. Likewise denigration of deities through various mediums, ploy to impose a ban on Hindu organizations and other problems like these have assumed a grave form. Under the pretext of the Supreme Court order, Congress government has conspired to demolish some of the temples and small domes like structures(ghumtya) declaring them as unauthorized. To save the temples is the duty of every Hindu. HJS is organizing state level campaigns to save temples and domes. Unity amongst trustees of all the temples as well as in Hindus is the need of the hour. With this aim HJS is organizing Dharmajagruti Sabha across India and abroad.
Until now HJS has organized more than 800 Dharmajagruti Sabhas in the country and abroad. These Sabhas have created awareness amongst more than 9 lakhs Hindus. HJS has organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabhas at America, Australia, England at abroad and Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Bihar, Haryana and Jharkhand in India. Till now 22 Dharmajagruti Sabhas are conducted in Goa.
Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha in Ponda will be addressed by Kirtankar Ramkrushnabuva Garde from Bicholim; Mr. Abhay Vartak, spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha and Mr. Ramesh Shinde spokesperson of HJS of Maharashtra and Gujarat states.
