Show at least one fish dying due to immersing Ganesh idol ! – Prakash Chougule, Vidhata Ganeshotsav Mandal
Sangli : Since last many years many domestic devotees and Ganesh Mandals immerse their Ganesh idols at the bank of the river Krushna; but not a single fish is being reported dying due to that. So called ecologists, progressive and administration did not utter a single word with regard to sewage water, so also the polluted water released from factories. Shri. Prakash Chowgule, the office bearer of Vidhata Ganeshotsav Mandal in Sangli expressed very boldly that the Government and the administration try to put restrictions on Hindu festivals by showing various rules and court orders. He was addressing the gathering there on the occasion of Sarvajanik Utsav Samanvay Shibir held on 11th August in Haridas Bhavan here. Workers of various Mandals, office bearers, associates making Shri Ganesh idols in the District were present in this shibir.
The shibir commenced with blowing of conch shell. Vedmurti Shri. Dattatray Bapatguruji, Adv. Sandeep Apshingekar, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad and Shri. Kiran Duse, HJS Coordinator of Kolhapur District lighted the auspicious lamp. During this time the atmosphere was fully charged with Divine consciousness due to the recitation of Ved mantras by Vedmurti Anil Pujari. Kum. Pratibha Taware explained the aim of the shibir. Shri. Prashant Chavhan compered. Later Adv. Sandeep Apshingekar and Shri. Kiran Duse of HJS gave their guidance.
Adv. Sandeep Apshingekar answered the queries related to legal and other difficulties faced by Ganesh mandals in the group discussion that followed the shibir.
Since Muharram and Ganeshotsav are coming together this year, they are celebrated together at many places. Adv. Apshingekar said, “Have you ever heard Muslim-Hindu unity’, it is always Hindu-Muslim unity’. From this kind of unity only problems like love jihad arise. Hence Hindus are expected to leave this misleading idea.”
