Bengaluru (Karnataka) :
HJS Bengaluru held a press meet at the press club of Bengaluru today,  for rekindling National Pride by preventing the denigration of the National flag. Mr.Chandra Moger, HJS Bengaluru co-ordinator, Mr. Muddhu Kumar, Secretary, Mahalakshmi Temple, Sudham Nagar, Bengaluru, Mr. Manjunath, Secretary, MICO (BOSCH) Kannada Sangha and Mr. Guruprasad from Sanantan Sanstha were present during the Press meet. Mr. Chadra mentioned as to how our great Revolutionaries and Freedom Fighters have fought and even laid down their lives for securing the freedom of our country. But due to lack of National Pride we are becoming vulnerable to numerous internal and external threats. The denigration of the National Flag the National Anthem and other National symbols is an indicator of the lack of national pride and love for the nation. He further said that on the occasions of Independence and Republic Day flags made of plastic, various play items like balloon in tricolor are being sold. After the event these find their way to the dust bins, roads and foot path. These plastic flags which are not biodegradable further lie all over for months together. Many times these flags are burnt along with other waste.  In their eagerness to hoist the national flag it is hoisted in an inappropriate manner.
