Kudchade (Goa): Money cannot inculcate ‘sanskars’; for that one has to follow ‘Dharmacharan’. Nowadays, parents are neglecting their children; therefore, their children jave no inclination to follow Hindu Dharma. Parents should first try to learn ‘Dharmashastra’ and teach the same to their children. The activities undertaken by HJS towards protection of Dharma are commendable. HJS will definitely be successful in its mission, said MLA Mr. Shyam Satardekar. He was invited as the chief guest in ‘Haldi-kumkum’ program held in Sri Dev Purush Mharu Mandir at Kudchade when he expressed the above views.

Mrs. Shubha Sawant and Mr. Sangam Borkar of HJS were also present on the occasion. The program began with lighting of lamp by Mr. Shyam Satardekar, MLA. He said further that ‘sanskars’ are found only in Hindu Dharma. In other counries, you will observe only discipline but no culture. Every child born as a Hindu imbibes ways of life followed by other religions. Hindu Dharma is supreme. The incidents of theft and idol-breaking are on the rise in Goa. Hindus need to unite to change this situation.

Mrs. Shubha Sawant of HJS explained the science behind celebrating ‘Makar Sankranti’. Hindus lack knowledge about Dharma and therefore, do not follow ‘Dharmacharan’ leading to the young generation drifting away from Dharma. This is the reason that Hindu young women are falling prey to ploys like ‘love jihad’. To change this situation, it is necessary to learn about matters related to Dharma and follow ‘Dharmacharan’.

Mr. Sangam Borkar of HJS talked about idol-breaking and thefts occurring in Hindu temples in Goa. He also gave examples of how mass-media was trying to hide incidents of attacks on Hindu Dharma. The program ended with ‘haldi-kumkum’ and was compeered by Mrs. Rekha Desai.
