Ornaments worth Rs.7.00 lakhs stolen from a temple in Shivmoga (Karnataka)

Shivmoga (Karnataka) : Theft of ornaments worth Rs.7.00 lakhs took place in the famous Sree Balsubrahmanyam Swami temple at Guddekal. Ornaments worth 16 kgs of silver, crown weighing 4 kgs and other small ornaments; besides 2 donation boxes were stolen. When the priest went to the temple at 6.30 in the morning, he noticed that the thieves had broken the lock of the temple. A complaint has been lodged with the police station.
