Shimoga : Police withdraw permission granted to HJS for holding ‘Janasamvad Sabha’

Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress’ coalition Government is thus operating as dictatorial rule under the guise of democracy !

Shivamogga (Karnataka) : On 12th August, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had planned to hold ‘Janasamvad Sabha’ at Sri Sitamma Anantayya Hall on O. T. Road in the city, on the topic of ‘Killings of leftists: Accusations on rightists’. Lot of publicity was done about this program and dignitaries were invited; but at the last moment, senior police officer informed that the program should be cancelled. Police didn’t give any explanation on withdrawal of permission. Moreover, police threatened that no permission would be granted for any HJS’ program in future, if the program was still held. (Police, not giving reason for their action and issuing one-sided orders are in a way, going against law ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

In a circular issued by HJS in this context, it has been stated that ‘the meeting was planned to be held in peaceful and lawful manner. Withdrawal of permission is therefore, an insult of basic freedom conferred under our Constitution. In fact, police permission was not required since the program was being held in a closed hall. Still, police withdrawing permission, is an attack on personal freedom of citizens conferred by Constitution. Trampling fundamental rights of citizens is condemnable.’
