Miraj : It is being said that westerners have explored a lot. In fact, due to Guru-disciple tradition in Bharat the knowledge was unfathomable and that is why Maharshi Aryabhatta, Sushrut, and many sages had explored many things which westerners did not even know. The education system in the ancient times was very rich due to being based on Dharma. As against this, due to Macaulay’s presently prevailing education system students do not get the essential knowledge, expressed Sou. Gauri Khilare of HJS. She was giving a talk in the Ladies’ college in Miraj organised on the occasion of Gurupournima on 27th July. At that time Principal Shri. Jhadbuke was present there. Prof. (Sou.) Sharvari Kulkarni gave the introduction. The programme commenced after lighting of the lamp. More than 500 students were present on this occasion. Even the lecturers, professors, and other staff of the college were present there.
