No traffic jams due to HJS activists’ monitoring ! : Commendation by police
Hindus should offer gratitude to God for this success !
Satara : Despite huge crowd of devotees gathered for immersion at Sangam-mahuli, there was no traffic jam this year owing to proper monitoring by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)’s activists. Police and Sangam-mahuli Grampanchayat therefore, commended service rendered by HJS activists; so also many devotees thanked HJS. City Police Inspector Sarangkar called Shri. Mangesh Nikam of HJS on reaching venue of immersion and requested for assistance to police and to see to devotees’ convenience. HJS undertook drive for immersion of Shri Ganesh idols in ideal manner, with the help of Sangam-mahuli Grampanchayat and local police administration. All idols were immersed in flowing water at the banks of River Krushna. HJS has been creating awareness for many years towards ideal celebration of Ganesh festival and as its effect, anti-Hindu activists from progressive factions did not go to immersion place even this year. HJS had put up a hoarding creating awareness on the subject at immersion place and temporary first-aid Cell was also set up for devotees, in case of need.
The local administration had dug up artificial water tanks in town at different places where festival committees immersed idols. In other villages in the district, immersion was carried out safely in wells and river water as per traditions.
