Sonpur (Bihar): Tiles with pictures of Deities were fitted on the walls of Punjab National Bank’s office to prevent people from spitting there. This was resulting in denigration of Deities. Mr. Rakesh Shrivastavv and his wife Mrs. Seema Shrivastava, seekers of Sanatan Sanstha, tried to explain the management of the Bank about the denigration and followed up the matter; therefore, finally the tiles were removed. (Congratulations to Sanatan’s seekers Mr. and Mrs. Shrivastava for following up the matter till the tiles were removed to prevent denigration of Deities ! – Editor SP)

Mr. Rakesh Shrivastava had gone to Dr. Sunilkumar to show some reports of the medical tests carried out by him. He was accompanied by his wife. As they reached there, Mrs. Seema observed the tiles fitted on the walls on the first floor by Punjab National Bank. She found out that the tiles with pictures of Deities were there for many years to prevent people from spitting on the wall. Mrs. Seema told Dr. Sunilkumar that use of such tiles was resulting in denigration of Deities. He immediately called up the Chief of the Branch to his clinic. Mr. Rakeshkumar, the Chief came after some time. Mr. and Mrs. Srivastava explained to him how use of tiles with pictures of Deities was causing denigration of Deities. He listened to the explanation very intently and said that the fitting of tiles was done during the regime of the earlier In-charge and Mr. Rakeshkumar had thought about removing those tiles but later, did not take any action. He, however, assured the seekers to remove the tiles as early as possible.

After 5 days, the seekers called up Mr. Rakeshkumar to check whether the tiles were removed. He once again promised to remove the tiles immediately. After a week, the seekers went to the Bank’s office and found that people had spitted on many tiles in the corners. That day, however, Mr. Rakeshkumar was not available; therefore, the seekers again called him up and reminded him about prevention of denigration. Two days later, he made arrangements to remove all the tiles with pictures of Deities and thanked the seekers for pointing out the mistake.
