Missionary school forces students to collect funds : bows down after Hindu intervention

Lasalgaon (Dist. Nashik, Maharashtra): ‘Seventh Day Adventist Higher Secondary School’, a missionary school had forced Hindu students to collect funds. Many students were misappropriating the collected money. (Hindus should realize the adverse effects of enrolling their children in missionary schools. In Marathi schools, children are taught Indian culture, therefore, they do not indulge in things like misappropriation of money; but in missionary schools, children inculcate Christian culture and Hindus have to face its ill effects ! – Editor SP) This was noticed by a devout Hindu. He created awareness among Hindus and a complaint was lodged with police station after which students were spared frm the duty of collecting funds.

A circular was given to 200 students under the name of ‘Indian Medical Educational Welfare Services, Pune’ for collection of funds. It was told to collect money from people for poor, needy, people affected by earthquakes etc. Many students used to go to shops, different establishments, private house etc. for the purpose. These students used to collect money from the people by giving them some reason. It was observed by another devout Hindu that some students after collecting Rs. 50/- , were giving receipt for only Rs. 20/- and spending Rs. 30/- enjoying eating out in hotels. Few students used to buy chocolates, biscuits etc. out of this money.

In the meanwhile, a student from 7th standard who had gone to collect money, met with an accident. The devout Hindu then explained to his brethren about the reason why students were so much interested in collecting funds and how the money was being utilized. All Hindus gave a representation to a police station against the school. They also brought to the notice of the police that the letterhead of ‘Indian Medical Educational Welfare Services, Pune’ had no registration number. The police made inquiry and asked the school to stop collection of funds. (All Hindus should keep before them, ideal of the Hindus from Lasalgaon who fought with missionaries in legal manner ! – Editor SP)
