Chopda : HJS performs ‘Shastrapuja’ on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami

Chopda (Dist. Jalgaon) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) performed ‘Shastrapujan’ even this year, as usual with lot of enthusiasm. ‘Pujan’ was performed collectively in front of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The purpose of having such ‘pujan’ was to awaken ‘Kshatra-vrutti’ amongst Hindus and for unification of Hindus. ‘Puja’ was also performed of oil-painting of Prabhu Shriramchandra and garlanding the painting before ‘pujan’ of weapons. Collective ‘pujan’ of weapons was performed by BJP leader Ghanashyam Agrawal. After returning from customary ritual of ‘Simollanghan (crossing border)’, devout Hindus gathered at Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk and exchanged greetings on the occasion of Dasara, after ‘pujan’ of painting of Prabhu Shriramchandra and weapons. Many local eminent personalities and officers were present on the occasion.
