Nanded (Maharashtra): On behalf of All India Kshatriya Manch, Maharana Pratap Memorial Day was organized in Maharana Pratap Chowk in Nanded. The picture of Maharana Pratap was garlanded on the occasion. Mr. Hemant Khatri of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) said, “Many problems like ‘love jihad’, theft in Hindu temples, breaking of idols of Hindu Deities and Jihadi terrorism are faced by us today. It is, therefore, necessary to increase ‘Kshatra-tej’ in us. Our young men are getting trapped in perversions like ‘Valentine Day’. Most of the people do not remember the Memorial Day of Maharana Pratap; but we should not forget him.” Miss Rageshree Deshpande of HJS said, “There is not even a picture of Maharana Pratap and Rani Lakshmibai in the History text book for 7th standard set by NCERT; whereas Mughal invaders Akbar, Babur, Shahjehan etc. have been glorified. We have to stop this.”
Dharmabhushan Mr. Dilipsinhji Thakur said, “We should not fall prey to a narrow and perverted mentality like ‘Valentine Day’; but we should love the whole nation. Maharana Pratap’s life is a source of inspiration for everyone.” Shri. Chaitanya Bapu (Deshmukh) said, “We are following perverted culture of westerners. This needs to be changed.” Mr. Pravin Sale said, “Today we are following the education system started by Lord Macaulay; therefore, Indian youth is going away from Indian culture. It is necessary to stop this.”
Dr. Pyarelal Gehlot, the zonal President of ‘All India Kshatriya Manch’ said, “Permission has been granted to erect a memorial of Maharana Pratap in Maharana Pratap Chowk; but it is very unfortunate that the memorial has not yet been erected.” The program was attended by many youth members and devout Hindus.
