Muradpur – Guidance to devout Hindus at Bhoiwadi (Chiplun)
In daily life, Hindus are indifferent towards performing rituals as per Dharma due to lack of knowledge about the science for such rituals : Manoj Khadye
Chiplun : Knowledge of abiding by religion is imparted to Muslims through mosques and madarasas while Christians get knowledge regarding their religion in church and through convent schools; however, only Hindus get knowledge of their Dharma neither at home nor at school nor at temple; therefore, they don’t know science about lighting oil or ghee lamp in altar or for applying ‘tilak’ on forehead or for ringing bell in temple. Lack of knowledge about rituals advised as per Dharma in daily life leads to indifference amongst Hindus in following such rituals, stated Shri. Manoj Khadye, Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for western Maharashtra, Konkan and Gujarat while addressing devout Hindus.
‘Shri Sainath Bhakta Seva Mandal (Mandal)’ from Muradpur- Bhoiwadi had organized a lecture by Shri. Manoj Khadye at Shri Sai Mandir on the topic of ‘Need for Hindu Rashtra’, under ‘Hindu Rashtra Sampark Abhiyan’ drive undertaken by HJS. Shri. Satish Gorivale, the President of Devasthan Mandal, Shri. Vishnu Lane, its Vice President, Shri. Mahesh Vasant Gudhekar, its Secretary, Shri. Rajesh Shankar Gorivale, its Joint Treasurer and other members of this ‘Mandal’ were present on the occasion.
Shri. Manoj Khadye said, “Hindus have tobacco even while sitting in a temple owing to lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ or they play cards in temple or marquee erected for Shri Ganesh idol during Ganesh festival so as to stay awake. They are not even aware that by doing such things, they are committing sin. Arrangements for imparting ‘Dharmashikshan’ are therefore, necessary in temples in every village. Devout Hindus should take initiative in making such arrangement.”
After the guidance, all participants showed interest in starting ‘Dharmashikshan’ class regularly at Shri Sai Mandir.
