It is a treason to oppose singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ ! –  H. B. P. Shrikrushna Maharaj Sinnarkar

Nashik (Maharashtra) : Hindus should not just live like Hindus just because they are Hindus by birth; but they should take an oath to live and even to die for protection of Hinduism. Today in this sovereign country, there is opposition to say ‘Vande Mataram’ which is like committing treason. In this country, should we not bow before a mother rather than any woman? National flag was hoisted on Red Fort after India got independence. The flag hoisting was celebrated with great enthusiasm; but Swatantryaveer Savarkar was deliberately not invited for this program. He, however, kept quiet; but when he heard about the news on radio regarding partition of this country, he broke down the radio. Hindus need to be alert and united to develop such staunch nationalism in them, said H. B. P. Sinnarkar Maharaj during the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the grounds of Sree Siddhivinayak Temple. Mrs. Meenakshi Kolhe of Sanatan Sanstha and Professor Dnyaneshwar Bhagure of HJS also spoke on the occasion. The ‘sabha’ was attended by about 175 devout Hindus. It began with lighting of lamp and was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. A follow up meeting will be held on 1st March at 7.30 p.m. at Sree Siddhivinayak Samajmandir, Shaktinagar, Hirawadi, Panchavati, Nashik for the devout Hindus interested in joining the activities undertaken by HJS.
