HJS celebrated Memorial Day of Veer Savarkar with enthusiasm

HJS drive to awaken ‘Rashtra-bhakti (patriotism)’ among people : 45th Memorial Day of Veer Savarkar was celebrated with enthusiasm   

Panvel (Maharashtra): In terms of the prediction of Swatantryaveer Savarkar, who was a great visionary, we Hindus have become outsiders in this country. If Hindus want to live with self-respect, we must strive hard for the establishment of a Hindu Nation, said Mr. Makarand Desai of RSS in Savarkar Chowk, Panvel. A program was organized to pay homage to Veer Savarkar on his Memorial Day. The program started with garlanding of a picture of Veer Savarkar by Mr. Prabhakar Agharkar, the President of Panvel Brahmin Sabha followed with lighting of lamps by Mr. Lakshman Panchal, the President of Jagurti Mitramandal; thereafter, all devout Hindus lit 45 lamps. About 80 devout Hindus attended the program.

A signature drive was undertaken demanding that Veer Savarkar’s photograph should be printed on currency notes which received a good response from Hindus. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) viz. Mr. Milind Poshe, Mr. Anand Matte, Mrs. Abhaya Upadhye, Mrs. Mohini Mandhare and Mr. Devdatta Kumbhar expressed their views. The program was compeered by Mr. Balwant Pathak and was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’ by Miss Manasi Kulkarni.

Uran (Maharashtra): In Swatantryaveer Savarkar School run by Lakshman Narayan Bhoir Education Institute at New Sheva, birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar was celebrated under the guidance of Mr. Santosh Mhatre, the Principal and all teachers and staff of the school. Mrs. Vandana Apte of HJS attended the program as the Chairperson of the program. She explained to the students from 8th to 10th standard on how to pay respect to the elderly persons at home and teachers inculcating moral values, how to chant ‘Kuldevata (family deity)’s name, how o pray to concentrate mind while studying, what should be done to reduce tension of studies etc. Miss Arati Sanap spoke on ‘Veer Savarkar’ and the program ended with the speech of Mr. Ajit Patil.
