Hindus would unitedly oppose anti-Hindu laws

Aurangabad: As per the recommendations of 15th law Commission of the State Government, an Act will be passed for overtaking temples and religious institutions in Maharashtra. An announcement was made in Aurangabad, to form an Association to be known as ‘National Religious Association for Protection of Temples’ under the chairmanship of Prof. Shridhar Vakte, Chairman of Sree Gajanan Maharaj Trust, Shegaon.

Members of Trustees attending the meeting have warned the Government against passing such laws that provoke religious feelings of Hindus as all Hindus would unite to fight against such laws. Strong views were expressed by various religious leaders like when there is a common law for all religions, the Government does not seem to be in its right mind to think of passing such law.

Another leader said that Dnyaneshwar was the king of saints. Ramadas Swami selected Shivaji Maharaj for his qualities of leadership and organization; but today none of the leaders has these qualities. Since Govt. has disposed of all vacant land, it has no other means to raise funds. Therefore, it has now turned its evil eye on temples. On one hand, the Govt. is unable to run educational institutions and is in favour of privatization and on the other hand, how can it manage religious institutions. Hindu religion encompasses all sects. The member of Sanatan Sanstha explained about the legal aspect of this law. It was decided to register the newly announced organization on 6th November.
