Rulers purposely adopted anti-Hindu policies since independence : Dr. Chalke, HJS

‘Hindu Rashtra-jagruti Sabha’ held at Ayani, Khed

Khed : The first Indian Prime Minister Nehru was influenced by western culture; therefore, he was indifferent towards Hindus’ religious sentiments. Nehru had said that it would not be proper for Dr. Rajendra Prasad the then President, who was invited to attend a program pertaining to one religion related to restoration of Sorati Somnath Temple, since it would create obstacles in depicting this country as secular. Nehru, thus stopped Dr. Prasad from attending the program. The first President of this country also had to struggle for preserving own religious faiths. Anti-Hindu policies were adopted purposely by all rulers since independence, stated Dr. Hemant Chalke of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while addressing ‘Hindu Rashtra-jagruti Sabha (sabha)’ held at Ayani, Taluka Khed in the hall of Shri Kedarnath Temple. Dr. Chalke spoke on the subject of ‘Anti-Hindu decisions taken by Rulers and their adverse effects’. The ‘sabha’ was attended by 54 devout Hindus.

Sarpanch Shantaram Kaviskar of Ayani, ‘Police-Patil’ Sunil Bhalekar, H.B.P. Shankar Maharaj Lambade, H.B.P. Vitthal Maharaj Manaval, Anant D. Dalvi, Shridhar Ramchandra Biravatkar, Shri. Sandip Shinde, Shri. Dinesh Shinde, Shri. Avadhut Chitale, Sou. Madhavi Arvind Veer- ‘Bachat Gat-Pramukh’ and Sou. Rajashree Rajaram Mali etc were present on the occasion. Shri. Sandip Bhuvad provided sound system for free. An exhibition of books and products of Sanatan was held at the venue of the ‘sabha’. The program was compeered by Shri. Dattaram Ghag.
