Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : The first branch of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) was opened at Ayodhyanagar, Jalgaon on 6th March 2011. A devout Hindu Mr. Sunil Sarode unveiled the display board followed with Mr. Gopal Sarode garlanding the Board and Mr. Pradip Rote, a municipal councilor breaking a coconut. Mr. Sumit Sagavekar of HJS addressed the members of audience.
Mr. Sagavekar said, “The purpose of setting up the Branch was to create awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma; to oppose, in lawful manner, attacks on Dharma and to motivate people for following ‘Dharmacharan’. Hindus should be always alert to protect their temples, ‘goumata (cows)’ revered by them and their women. They should also be alert about the Muslim ploy of ‘love jihad’ to trap Hindu women. We shall take an oath of protection of Dharma today, as was earlier taken by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on Rohideshwar. We should follow ‘Dharmacharan’ by following customs like applying ‘tila’ on the forehead, pay obeisance to God before leaving home for work, organize ‘Maha-aarti’ in the area etc.”
Mr. Sunil Bhole, Ashish Gangve and Anil Chaudhary will manage as the branch –coordinators. ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes will be conducted on every Tuesday for the men and on Sunday for women every week. More than 70 devout Hindus including 20 active members of HJS were present on the occasion. Mr. Deepak Chaudhary did compeering of the program.
