HJS pays homage to Veer Savarkar at Chopda

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): On the occasion of the Memorial Day of Swatantryaveer  Savarkar, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) organized a program to pay homage to him. The program was held at Mahesh Hall. The staunch followers of Veer Savarkar viz. Mr. Vitthal Gujarathi, Mr. Prakash Dalal and Miss Pratiksha Korgaonkar of HJS attended the program. Mr. Prakash Dalal said, “Everyone is aware that Veer Savarkar stopped taking food and water as a protest against India’s decision to give back to China the portion of land won by her, leading to his death. He can be compared only to Sage Dadhichi.”

Mr. Vitthal Gujarathi said, “How much ever we praise Savarkar, it will not be sufficient compared to his sacrifices for the country. It is the need of the hour that India needs revolutionaries like him even today.”

Miss Pratikhsa Korgaonkar of HJS threw light on Savarkar’s willingness to sacrifice for this country, his many facets like being a poet, writer, playwright, supporter of military training, his staunch Hinduism etc. in her speech. Miss Jayashree Patil did compeering of the program. Regarding the mentality of Muslims, Savarkar had said, “A Muslim who tries to bully a weak person, will become weaker when he meets his match.”

Highlights

Mr. Vitthal Gujarathi, a 82-years old person sang a few lines of Savarkar’s poem ‘Ne majasi ne ……’.
