Kolhapur (Maharashtra): A ‘starred’ question will be raised in the forthcoming session of the Legislative Assembly (LA) about the insult of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the history text book devised by National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) with a demand to withdraw the book as done in the State of Goa and set a new text book. ‘Maharashtra Narbali, Yaun-shoshan, Amanavi and Aghori Krutya Bill 2010’ will also be opposed in the LA session. The above assurance was given by Mr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, the Shiv Sena MLA to the delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)
HJS members viz. Mr. Suresh Chavan, Suresh Ghatge, Babasaheb Bhopale and Shivanand Swami submitted a representation to Mr. Kshirsagar at 1.00 p.m. today when Mr. Kshirsagar said, “Matter about opposing to anti-superstitions Bill has been discussed in the meeting of Shiv Sena MLAs; as such, the Bill will be opposed by Shiv Sena.”
