PMC’s black deed committed in the darkness of night : 3 temples demolished at 3.30 a.m. under police surveillance, no action on mosques

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) puts even the Mughal regime to shame !
Pune (Maharashtra): Yesterday at about 3.30 a.m., PMC demolished 3 Hindu temples under the watch of 500 policemen. (Earlier, PMC had shifted the statue of Dadoji Konddev at 2.00 a.m. in the night under similar police security. Now also PMC has taken help of the darkness to carry out its black deeds which shows its unrighteous intentions ! – Editor SP) This has enraged Hindus. They opposed demolition of Sai Mandir the next day. PMC has, however, excluded mosques from such action. (Anti-Hindu PMC shows partiality under the guise of secularism ! – Editor SP) Hindus have submitted a memorandum to PMC to show their protest and performed ‘Maha-aarti’ in front of Sai Mandir. (Hindus should now think that how many of such memoranda they are going to give and perform ‘Maha-aarti’. When are they going to take some effective lawful action? – Editor SP)
Sri Ganesha Mandir of Chhatrapati Shivaji Mandal in Narpatgiri Chowk, Sri Ganesha Mandir of Veeresh Mitra-mandal and Suryamukhi Hanuman Mandir were demolished in the night from Somwar Peth and Mangalwar Peth area. (The anti-Hindu employees, who are never available when required by the citizens in case of emergency, remain present in the midnight. Why will God protect such people during the period of crisis, who pre-plan attacks on Hindu Dharma? – Editor SP) The Suryamukhi Hanuman Mandir is 150 years old according to the information given by the local residents. (Hindus should realize Hindu-hatred of PMC which is demolishing even their authorized temples ! – Editor SP)
On the following day, devotees protested against demolition of Sai Mandir of the registered Sri Sai Seva Pratishthan in the same area which is 14 years old. ‘Maha-aarti’ was performed at 12.00 noon on behalf of the ‘Pratishthan’ that was attended by more than 300 Hindus.
Representation by Sai Pratishthan and signature drive
It has been mentioned in the representation given by Sai Pratishthan to PMC that the temple land was already given to PMC for widening of the road. Sai Mandir is not causing any kind of obstacle to the traffic nor is an encroachment. PMC letter gives references of some temples and places of prayer; therefore, one cannot rule out the possibility of communal disharmony in future. In view of the same, PMC should cancel its proposed action taking into account the sentiments of the local residents. A signature drive was also undertaken on behalf of the ‘Pratishthan’. The representation was submitted by Mr. Dilip Bahirat, the President of the Pratishthan, Mr. Sandip Shinde, its treasurer and Mr. Bala Shedge, a member of Education Board in PMC.
Why action is taken only against temples?
Why PMC took action in the darkness of night like a thief? No representative elected by the people is bothered about people’s feelings, said a Sai-devotee to the representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’. The unauthorized sheds next to Veeresh Mitra-mandal’s temple have been spared by PMC. The infuriated devotees are of the view that PMC is taking action only against temples.
Denigration of Hanuman’s idol !
When PMC was demolishing the Hanuman Temple, the idol of Hanuman was kept in a plastic container in adjacent garage as if it was trash, resulting in denigration of the Deity. (One cannot be a Hindu if his blood does not boil after reading the above ! – Editor SP)
Opposition to action against temples ! – Raj Thackeray
Mumbai: Action against temples in Mumbai, Thane and Pune should be stopped. Municipal Corporation should first run its bulldozer on the unauthorized hutments spread everywhere in the cities and then touch temples. The Government should first make a list of authorized and unauthorized structures. I will not go against the law; but why the Administration sees only temples? How can they not see the unauthorized hutments and those erected by Bangla Deshis in the city? We shall always oppose action taken only against temples, said Mr. Raj Thackeray, the President of MNS in this regard.
