We should keep great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar as ideals before us ! – Mr. Durgesh Parulkar
Inauguration of Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha by lighting a Samai (an oil lamp) |
Mumbai: In 50 universities all over the world, study of life-history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been made compulsory in their curriculum. Why the life-history of such great valiant King is not taught in our country? We, however, give importance to all wrong things in our history. How can then our present generation become capable to protect our Nation and Dharma? We should keep great personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Swatantryaveer Savarkar as ideals before us; but our cricketers and film stars are our ideals today. The above remorse was expressed by Mr. Durgesh Parulkar, a writer and renowned speaker. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on the grounds of Parag School near Shivaji Talao at Bhandup (West) which was addressed by Mr. Parulkar. The ‘sabha’ was attended by about 550 devout Hindus. Mrs. Janhavi Bhadirke of HJS and Mr. Rajendraprasad Bhogale of Sanatan Sanstha also addressed the meeting.
The ‘sabha’ was started with lighting of lamp by Mr. Parulkar followed with recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’ by Veda-murti Shri. Shriniwas Acharya from ‘Satyadhan Vidyapeeth’ and his associates. Miss Reshma Yadav narrated, while compeering the ‘sabha’, the qualities and specialities of child-seekers, who have come from ‘Maha-loka’ and are studying in Sanatan’s ‘Gurukul’ at Ramnathi Ashram. The ‘sabha’ was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’. The other dignitaries attending the ‘sabha’ were Sardar Tara Singh, BJP MLA, Mr. Ashok Patil, the dy. area-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Balkrushna Bane sheth, a Director of Parag School, Mrs. Vafare, dy. area-chief of Shiv Sena (Women’s front) and Mr. Pravin Dahitule, the Vice President of Bhandup Warakari Sampradaya.
