Thousands of students join carrying ‘tri-color’: ‘One hour for soldiers – one hour for nation’
Kolhapur : ‘Vande Mataram Youth Organization’ and all pro-Hindu organizations took out a silent march under the name ‘Tiranga Samarthan Yatra’ on 20th February for paying homage to soldiers, laying life in the terrorist attack at Pulwama in Kashmir. The procession was started at 11.00 a.m. from ‘Mirajkar Tikati’ and concluded at Bindu Chowk. Various organizations, ‘Talim Mandal’, all elected representatives, ‘Dnyati Sanstha’, pro-Hindu organizations, schools and all patriotic residents of Kolhapur joined the march in large numbers. Three thousand students and local residents joining the procession in hot sun, showed patriotism with unity and gave message of ‘one hour for soldiers- one hour for nation’ to all.
Special chariot prepared for extending support was positioned in front, in support of soldiers. Behind the chariot were school students and patriotic citizens. Songs awakening patriotism were played in the march and appeal was made to people to join. ‘Vande Mataram’ and national anthem were sung while concluding the march at Bindu Chowk, offering homage to soldiers. Slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Jala Do, Jala Do, Pakistan Jala Do’ were spontaneously raised during the march.
