HJS undertook an expansive movement to create awareness among people about ‘Holi’ festival. Guidance lectures were organized in various parts of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai at Mulund, Bhandup, Ghatkopar, Borivali, Kandivali, Virar, Boisar, Nalasopara, Vasai, Worli Gaon, Parel, Bhoiwada and Naigaum besides Koparkhiarane, Ghanasoli, Nerul, Sanpada etc. showing people, through the medium of megaphone, that how an ideal ‘Holi’ should be celebrated, what are the types of malpractices going on in its celebration and how to prevent them. Handbills were also distributed on the topic.
Arrangement of a mobile ambulance was made at the above places, for treating people hit by water balloons and chemical colours. The movement received a very good response from the citizens. Many people lauded HJS members for undertaking such movement. Even the participants of HJS ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes joined this movement. More than 300 people gave their names and contact numbers just to say that they supported this movement.

This shows how badly Hindus need ‘Dharmashikshan’. – Editor SP)
- Chemical colours were used at many places.
- Even women were dancing with men by making indecent gesticulations
Feedback
Mr. Shirish Gade, a teacher : I was surprised when I heard the explanation given by HJS. Nowadays, nobody explains the science behind celebration of any festival. How much ever I thank you, will not be enough. I will tell about it to my students.
Police also appreciate HJS activities
HJS activists called on Mr. Chandrakant Jadhav, a senior Police Inspector of Vasai Police Station when he informed that he had already taken meetings in his areas and explained about malpractices. HJS members said that they could have been called for this job as it would have given them an opportunity to enlighten people and do ‘seva’. He immediately called his clerk and asked him that why HJS members were not called as their activities are very good and instructed the clerk to invite HJS for meetings, in future.
