Maharashtra CM stalls action against places of worship

Maharashtra CM admits that order by the State Govt. regarding unauthorized religious places is not clear !

The CM might have declared of stalling the earlier order but what about the temples which have been already demolished due to this order and the immeasurable religious harm caused to Hindus? The State Government should re-construct these temples and take strict action against those who did not issue clear orders.

Mumbai: The order issued by the State Government about the places of worship was not clear; therefore, action was initiated misconstruing the meaning of order. New policy on places of worship at public, common areas will be formed soon. The State Government is, however, stalling the earlier order. The above explanation was given by Mr. Pruthviraj Chavan, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was replying to the Governor’s address.

The Supreme Court had given orders that unauthorized construction of places of worship should not be carried out at public places. Consequently, the State Government issued an order on 4^th October 2010 which was misconstrued and Mumbai and Pune Municipal Corporations started action against very old and authorized temples resulting in enragement of Hindus. Moreover, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) demolished many Hindu temples in the middle of the night. MLAs from all parties registered protest against this action in the Legislative Assembly. Mrs. Shraddha Jadhav met the Chief Minister and sought stay against this order. (Hindus should now decide whether they want rulers who first hurt their religious sentiments and then try to make amends or the rulers who first think before taking decision especially with regard to their religious sentiments ! – Editor SP) PMC, however, demolished 6 temples on the same midnight.  It may be noted here that it has not touched a single place of worship of followers of other religions.
