Mumbai : Law imposing ban on conversions should be passed as recommended by Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari Committee, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a representation submitted to Shiv Sena’s MLA Hemant Patil from Nanded. Such demand for passing this law should be made during the ongoing budgetary session of State Legislative Assembly, was the appeal made by Shri. Satish Sonar and Shri. Ajay Sambhus.

It has been stated in the representation that

1. In last 5-6 years, Christian missionaries have converted more than 1.5 lakh people from Sindhi community. If such conversion continues, Sindhi community will become extinct.

2. Huge 17 churches have been built in Ulhasnagar and surrounding area where Christian missionaries are converting various factions of Hindus under the guise of prayers.

3. Similar incidents are happening even in Panvel. Missionaries and nuns are going to hospitals and under the guise of making prayers for patients, they throw net of conversion.

4. Hindus have become minority in 8 States due to conversions and it has become difficult for remaining Hindus to live in those States. Such conversions taking place either by luring people, offering incentives or even by force are against the Constitution and a blot on humanity. It is a big conspiracy against the nation and should be taken serious note by the Government. The Government should take appropriate action against the ploy of conversion which is gulping down the whole country.
