Consolation prize for the Float of HJS in Shimgo festival at Mapusa

Mapusa (Goa): Chitrarath (A float) by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) promoting Dharmashastra at Mapusa Shigmotsav competition secured Rs. 5000 consolation prize. Charts promoting Dharma like, ‘How to celebrate birthday’, ‘How to light a lamp’ (while inaugurating a function) ‘Instead of shaking hand, say namaskar’, etc. were displayed on the Chitrarath. There were also charts giving information about National leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Lokmanya Tilak and others.

During the procession of the chitrarath brochures giving information about ‘Gudhipadva’ were distributed. This campaign got very good response from the people. Unique feature of the chitrarath was that the workers of the Samiti had worn Dhoti-Kurta and the ladies were in conventional 9 Yards sarees accompanying the chitrarath.
