Ashoknagar (Bhagyanagar): This years’ last Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha of Andhra Pradesh held in small scale although it gave a larger impact with successful responses. In City Central Library on 27th March 2011 at 5.30 pm the sabha was actually organized through the initiative taken by the local devout Hindus.

Two of them, Mr. Divanjaya Prakash and Mr. Raghuveer Singh Thakur, local devout Hindus were very keen on having a Hindu sabha in the city. The intention was basically to make the Hindus realize about the activities of fellow Hindus to save our Dharma and culture.

Three speakers were present on the dais. Mrs. Soumya of Sanatan Sanstha briefed the lack of Dharmacharan among Hindus and said, ‘Many years ago people didn’t have any facilities like we do now but still they had peace in the society. But we have all the scientific facilities even though we are sad and stressed out. The core reason for this is lack of Dharamcharan’. She also explained the reason for not progressing in terms of spiritual practice. ‘From many years we are doing some sort of Sadhana in our society but still we are not progressing. The reason behind this is our personality defects and ego. So if we try to remove these, then we can have progress in Sadhana easily. And the almighty can bless us in this time’, she concluded.

Next speaker Mrs. Anuradha Pandey, a D.R.D.O. employee defined the sacred culture of Hindu Dharma by several examples and verses and said, ‘The government which we are electing is corrupt so now we have to think twice before electing such government’. A few lines explained the rich culture of our Hindu Dharma said by Mrs. Anuradha is as follows – ‘Wo Sanatan Na Mita Lankesh Ki Hunkaar Se, Wo Sanatan Kya Mitega Aaj Ki Sarkaar Se‘. Means – Sanatan Dharma didn’t vanish by the efforts of Lanka king Raavan, then how come it will by this government. She also stressed on women’s role in building the chains of cultural thoughts among children like Jeejabai in Shivaji Maharaj period. ‘We women have to come front and save our Dharma’, she added.

Another speaker was Mr. Chetan Janardan of HJS spoke about the present scenario of the Hindu Dharma and the status of the nation and said, ‘In our country even today countless people are not getting daily bread and butter and still our government is busy in scams like CWG. The corrupt government is not active in punishing terrorists like Kasab and Afzal as a result more terror attacks are occurring. The solution for this is we have to unite and build our Hindu nation’.

Around 200 devout Hindus were present in this sabha and among those around 45 were in the meeting held right after the sabha.

Highlights:
