Mumbai : On 23rd March, various pro-Hindu organizations celebrated ‘Shiva-jayanti’ with lot of enthusiasm as it was the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as per Hindu calendar ‘tithi’.
‘Puja’ was performed of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Vashi depot, Navi Mumbai on behalf of organizations like ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ and ‘Shiva-sadhana’ group at 11.00 a.m. followed with his ‘aarti’. ‘Shiva-patrons’ including Shri. Bharat Mali, Navi Mumbai Coordinator of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’, Shri. Yatesh Hebalkar, Shri. Gaurav Pawar, Shri. Ramesh Pavaje etc were present in large number. A huge ‘Shiva-Rath’ procession was taken out on the occasion of ‘Shiva-jayanti’ by ‘Shiva-jayanti Utsav Samiti’ at 9.30 a.m. at Ghatkopar. Many men and women joined the procession wearing traditional clothes.

‘New Bharat Kreeda Mandal’ celebrated ‘Shiva-jayanti’ at Kurla. Speciality of this ‘Shiva-jayanti’ was more than 100 small and big festival committees came together for celebrating ‘Shiva-jayanti’ and a huge procession was taken out on this occasion.
