Editor promises HJS activists of not denigrating Deities in future after creating awareness !

Thane (Maharashtra): On page 1 of the issue dated 2nd April of a local daily newspaper ‘Thane Vaibhav’ published from Thane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Captain of Indian cricket team was shown in the form of Lord Hanuman, a Deity worshipped by millions of Hindus. He has been shown in the form of Lord Hanuman holding the World Cup. Dhoni has been shown as going for ‘Lanka-dahan (burning Lanka)’. On top of the picture, it was written that some people read ‘namaz’, some performed ‘puja’ havan’; today is Saturday, the day of Maruti; will Dhoni perform ‘Lanka-dahan? (Personification of Deities is their denigration only. Hindus need to be imparted ‘Dharma-shikshan’ so as to stop such denigrations from taking place whether knowingly or unknowingly ! – Editor SP)

Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the District Coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts contacted Mr. Milind Ballal, the Editor and explained to him regarding denigration. The conversation that took place between them is given below.

Mr. Vatkar : A picture personifying Lord Hanuman as a human being has been published in your daily newspaper which is wrong. It has led to denigration of Lord Hanuman worshipped by all Hindus. In future, try to avoid such denigration of Deities through your newspaper.
Mr. Ballal : I have received phones from many persons and am going to write about it through the newspaper. We will discuss the matter after I finish writing.
Mr. Vatkar : This is not a matter of discussions. Only take care that such denigration is avoided in future.
Mr. Mukund Ghanekar of HJS also called up Mr. Ballal and explained the issue to him. Their conversation is given below.
Mr. Ghanekar : It is wrong to denigrate Hindu Deities in such manner. You will not like if someone denigrates your parents in this manner. Hindus revere Deities more than their parents; therefore, such denigration of Deities is not right and should not be done.
Mr. Ballal : I have realized my mistake and such denigration will not be done in future.
