Rallies taken out by HJS on the occasion of Hindu New Year

On the day of Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada i.e. New Year of Hindus, rallies were taken out at various places by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)

Dharmaprasar by Sanatan Sanstha and HJS in Thane District

Thane (Maharashtra): Like every year, this year too, Hindus welcomed their New Year with great enthusiasm in Thane District. Sanatan Sanstha and HJS took out rallies at various places like Thane, Dombivali, Kalyan, Ambarnath etc, for ‘Dharmaprasar’.   In the rally taken out in Thane city, 60 ‘floats’ took part. Mayor Mr. Ashok Vaity, Mr. Eknath Shinde, MLA and district-chief of Shiv Sena and Mr. Rajan Vichare, MLA carried the ‘palakhi’. The rally started from Kaupaneshwar Temple and concluded at ‘Talaopali’ after going through main areas of the city. The ‘floats’ were arranged by HJS.

In Dombivali, this was the 13th year of New Year rallies. 70 organizations and 60 floats participated in the rallies. A scene was created depicting the centenary year of martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and Swatantryaveer Savarkar. H. H. Swami Vishnupadananda Maharaj, the Chief of Ramkrushna Mission said, “Earlier ‘Gudhi Padva’ was celebrated at family level; but in the last few years, it is celebrated on large scale by the public. This festival shakes off the indolence and generates divine energy. India may strive to achieve materialistic progress but Dharma and spirituality is the base of progress.  Foundation of materialistic development cannot be laid without spiritualism.” Similar processions were taken out even at Kalyan and Ambarnath by Sanatan Sanstha and HJS.

Highlights

1. Special issue of Dainik Sanatan Prabhat published on the occasion of ‘Gudhi Padva’ was distributed to people.
2. Signature drive was undertaken against anti-Hindu ‘Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti (ANiS)’
3. An appeal was being made by HJS to people to devote at least one hour every day towards ‘Dharma karya’.
4. Many ‘floats’ creating awareness among people on different topics related to Dharma, religious, environmental matters etc. were created by various social and religious organizations.
5. Display-boards (Flex) of Sanatan Sanstha and HJS were attracting attention of the people.

Good response to New Year rally in Jalgaon

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): On behalf of Sriram Mandir Sansthan and welcome committee, a New Year rally was taken out in the city which received good response from the people. Members of different Sects, Sampradaya, Satsang Committees, social organizations, ‘bhajani Mandals’, Ganesha Festival Committees took part in the rally.

The procession started from ‘Panchmukhi Gayatri Shaktipeeth’, concluded at Sriram Mandir, the ‘Gramdevata’ of Jalgaon going through the main parts of the city. Floats depicting religious incidents were created by HJS and different organizations. ‘Puja’ of the ‘Gudhi’ was performed by Mr. Sunil Bhangale, the President of Jalgaon District Chemists’ Association after the rally, followed with ‘Panchang-vachan (reading of almanac)’ by Shri. Mukund Dharmadhikari and thanks-giving by Mr. Sachin Narale, the President of ‘Sarvajanik Ganesha Mahamandal’. The program was concluded with singing of ‘Maha-aarti’.

‘Gudhi’ was erected by Shiv Sena near Hanuman Temple in Ayodhyanagar in the presence of Mr. Prabhakar Patil, the President of Shiv Sena Shakha and Mrs. Patil, Mr. and Mrs. Arjun Mote, Mr. and Mrs. Milind Khadake, Mr. and Mrs. Pravin Vispute and many activists of Shiv Sena. Mr Mote said that he was inspired by HJS to erect a ‘Gudhi’ for the people.

Highlights

1. A signature drive to oppose the proposed anti-superstitions Act was undertaken by HJS during the rally.

At Kanalda, Dist. Jalgaon, demonstration on how to hoist a ‘Gudhi’ as per the Science was presented in 4 main areas on the previous day. A rally was taken out through the village on ‘Gudhi Padva’ chanting the name of Lord Sriram followed with hoisting of ‘Gudhi’. The prayers to be made on the occasion, were read out in different areas. H. B. P. Narayan Maharaj appealed to all Hindus to unite on the auspicious occasion.

At Kinod, Dist. Jalgaon, ‘Gudhi’ was hoisted at the entrance of the village by the people and its ‘puja’ was performed by a devout Hindu Mr. Jagadish Kulkarni in the presence of Mr. Ashok Patil, a member of Gram-panchayat and others.

Awareness created among citizens through ‘Prasar’ rally at Amaravati

Amaravati (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), that advocates celebration of New Year only on the day of ‘Gudhi Padva’, organized ‘prasar’ rallies in different areas like Motinagar, Kirannagar 1, 2 and 3 besides Prasad Colony in the evening between 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. on 3rd April. More than 70 devout Hindus participated in the rally. Mr. Kiran Duse of HJS explained the purpose of the rally that was concluded on the ground opposite New Golden English School.

Vardha (Maharashtra): On the eve of ‘Gudhi Padva’, a procession was taken out by HJS in the city at 5.00 p.m. to create awareness among people about celebration of New Year. 45 activists of HJS participated in the rally. It began with performing ‘puja’ of the ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ and was taken from Sree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir through Kapada Lane, Socialist Chowk, Ingole Chowk, Vanchari Chowk, Indira Market via Main Road and bus stand. It was brought back to Sree Lakshmi Narayan Mandir only. Greetings were exchanged with the people and science behind celebrating ‘Gudhi Padva’ was explained to them.
