Kolhapur : Lectures, demos were held and VCDs were shown at various places in Kolhapur district for explaining the science for celebrating ‘Gudhi Padva’ on 6th April. On learning this science, devout Hindus, during programs held at various places, made a resolve to celebrate ‘Gudhi Padva’ as per science. Similarly, the science was propagated through distribution of handbills, displaying posters and through direct contact. Participation of devout Hindus in organizing lectures is increasing at every stage.
VCD on how to celebrate ‘Gudhi Padva’ was shown at Barwad. Shri. Kiran Kulkarni, Shiv Sena’s city-Chief was present on the occasion. Demo on erecting ‘Gudhi’ was staged at Hupri. Devout Hindus helped in extending invitations to Hindus for the program. A woman attending ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes at Halondi took initiative in organizing lecture on ‘Gudhi Padva’; while demo on erecting ‘Gudhi’ was held at Gurav class. Information on ‘Gudhi Padva’ was given in Vitthal Mandir at Vadgaon. The guidance on the subject held at rural area of Anur (Karnataka) was attended by 50 devout Hindus. It was organized by Dr. Sadhana Patil.
Highlights
1. Demand was made to start ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes every fortnight. It was decided to display posters at every chowk, hold exhibition and undertake drives for unification of Hindus in the background of ‘Gudhi Padva’.
2. Shri. Kamalakar Ghungurkar displayed posters in many chowks. Shri. Prahlad Ghungurkar takes initiative in celebrating religious festivals in traditional manner. Sou. Anandi Ghungurkar looked after activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) who had come for taking lecture.
3. ‘Shiva-jayanti’ is celebrated as per Hindu calendar ‘tithi’ at this place.
A lecture was held on the topic of ‘Sadhana and Gudhi Padva’ at the hall of ‘Har Har Mahadev Sahakari Dugdha Sanstha’ at Sangrul. Shri. Tanaji Vatkar of ‘Mastermind Computer Institute’ had organized this lecture. Shri. Kamalakar Ghungurkar and Shri. Pradip Nale had also taken initiative in organizing this program.
