Devout Hindus performing collective ‘Gudhi-pujan’

Jalgaon : Collective ‘Gudhi-pujan’ was performed on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk in Chopda city on the occasion of ‘Gudhi Padva’. Shri. Sandip Oli, District-President of ‘Veer Chhava Sanghatana’ performed ‘Gudhi-pujan’ with his wife under supervision of priest Vivek Maharaj. Such collective ‘Gudhis’ were hoisted even at Sane Gurujinagar, Bhat Lane, Gandhi Chowk, Bari Wada, Gol Mandir, Alkari Wada and Navagrah Mandir. H.B.P. Manoj Bagul first did Hindu ‘Dharma-dhvaj-pujan’.

HJS took out procession for welcoming New Year as was done last year which started from Shivaji Chowk at 9.30 p.m. by performing ‘pujan’ of Prabhu Shriram’s picture-frame placed on a vehicle. Marathi young women participated in the procession in traditional attire of 9-yard saris, playing drums. The march was taken through main road- Gol Mandir- Nagalwadi Chowk- Thalner Darwaza and was concluded in Shriram Mandir at Gandhi Chowk. Flowers were showered and women performed ‘pujan’ of ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ on route at different places. Greetings were extended to each other on the occasion of Hindu New Year. Large number of devout Hindus participated in the march.
